Not the ones where everyone is standing in a line. Not the ones where you're holding your smile so long your cheeks ache. The ones that catch you when your guard is down - the squeeze of a hand, your mum wiping away a tear she didn't mean to cry, the way your person looked at you before you even reached the aisle.
I work quietly in the background, watching and waiting, so that by the time something real happens, I'm already there. I am not a photographer who directs a scene. I am one who finds the story that's already unfolding.

Every couple I work with tells me the same thing afterwards: they forgot I was there. That is exactly the point.

BEFORE THE DAY
We'll have a relaxed conversation about your plans, your priorities, and what matters most to you. I'll learn your families, your timeline, and any moments you're most worried about missing. You won't need to hand me a shot list, though I'm happy to work from one if you have one.

ON THE DAY
I arrive quietly and stay fully present. I move through your day invisibly, so the moments I capture are genuinely unguarded. I'll offer gentle direction when it's helpful - for example for portraits and family group shots, but the documentary moments I find, not create.

AFTER
Within 72 hours you'll receive some sneak peek images so you can share straight away. Your full gallery of hand-edited images follows within six weeks, delivered in both high resolution for printing and web resolution for sharing.

I don't ask people to move into position. I watch the room and respond to what's really happening.

No big artificial lighting set ups. Just natural light like how your day actually looked.

Before I was a photographer, I was a midwife, spending years with families at the most emotional, transformative moments of their lives. When my own mum passed away at the end of my first pregnancy, the phrase 'life is short’ took on a meaning I can't fully put into words.
That loss is what made me a photographer. It's what makes me watch a room differently. I know what it feels like to look back and desperately wish you had captured something. I carry that with me at every single wedding I photograph, and I will carry it at yours.

I'm based in Faversham and photograph weddings across the whole of Kent and beyond. Whether you're getting married in a converted barn near Canterbury, on the coast at Whitstable, in the rolling hills near Ashford, or somewhere further afield entirely, I'd love to hear from you.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Most couples book 6 to 18 months in advance, especially for summer and autumn dates. I'd recommend getting in touch as early as possible to avoid disappointment, popular weekends go quickly. That said, do reach out even if your date is soon. I sometimes have last-minute availability.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Some of my favourite images have been taken on grey, rainy days. Overcast light is beautiful and intimate. I always have a plan B and will adapt to whatever the day brings. I've never let the weather ruin a set of wedding photos.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
A minimum of 600 fully edited images for a full day. In practice, most galleries run larger. Every image I deliver has been individually hand-edited. I don't give you a raw dump. You'll receive both high-resolution files for printing and web-ready files for sharing.
WE ARE NOT COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA, WILL THAT BE A PROBLEM?
This is the number one thing couples say to me, and it's never been a problem. My documentary approach means most of what I capture is happening naturally, without you performing for the camera. For the portrait time, I'll give you simple prompts just to guide you, as opposed to posing you.
CAN WE HAVE A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT?
Yes, and I'd really encourage it. An engagement or pre-wedding shoot is a chance for you both to get comfortable with me and with being in front of a camera. Couples who've done a shoot beforehand are noticeably more relaxed on the wedding day. It's included in my ‘The Full Story’ Package, but can be added to any of my packages as an extra.
DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF KENT?
Absolutely. I'll travel anywhere in the UK and I'm open to destination weddings. A travel fee may apply for locations further afield, just mention where you're based when you enquire and I'll be upfront about any additional costs.
